We are, first and foremost, architects. We design places. Our work ranges from a single room renovation to a multi-million dollar building complex. The majority of our projects are between $1 million and $10 million in construction value.

Not only do we do research and materials analysis, we also evaluate the viability of repair vs. replacement with an objective matrix-driven approach. We are currently working on restoration of various projects within the United States, primarily in the Washington, DC area. These include buildings designed in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries by locally prominent architects such as Waddy Wood, Snowden Ashford and Adolph Cluss. Our pragmatic, repair-it-if-you-can, approach is cost effective and culturally conservative.

We are strongly committed to helping communities
retain their sense of place. As part of this commitment, we
attend community meetings, not only to present solutions, but
also to listen to concerns as part of the problem definition
and problem solving process of our work.
