1228 9th Street, NW, Washington, DC

Winner of the 2010 Project Innovations Merit Award, this LEED certified project is an adaptive reuse of a late 19th century, commercial building in the Shaw historic district. The building’s condition was assessed and the historic features evaluated so that an approach that respected the property’s past, but allowed it to be rehabilitated for office and studio spaces.
