T. David Bell, AIA, LEEDAP

Mr. Bell has been involved with a wide range of project types, scales and uses. They have ranged from Commercial Office, Retail, Restaurant, Single and Multi-family Residential to Education, Recreation and Child Care Centers to Historic Museums, Train Stations and Theaters. He has developed planning studies, preservation plans and master plans, that have included implementation strategies with phasing, sequencing and other considerations addressed. Many of his mix-use projects have included complex configurations, adaptive reuse, transportation, shipping/receiving, pedestrian, utility and infrastructure upgrades, safety, handicap accessibility, environmental and other related issues.

Mr. Bell's main focus for the past ten (10) years has been community development, planning, preservation and renovation projects. Recent projects have entailed Preservation Planning, Historic Resource Assessment, Section 106 Consultation, Master Planning, Building Conditions Assessments and Conceptual Design.

David is NCARB certified, LEED accredited, and a licensed architect in DC, Maryland and Virginia and holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree, 1983 from Virginia Tech.

Robert D. Swank, AIA, LEEDAP

Mr. Swank is a well rounded architect with over 30 years of experience in architecture, including all phases of design and construction, with particular expertise in technical coordination, detailing and quality assurance on complex projects.

Mr. Swank has been involved with an extensive range of project types and sizes. Project types include Private and Government Office Buildings, Commercial Retail, Hospitality, Recreational, Multi-Family Residential, Child-Care, Transportation, Military, and Industrial. His projects have typically ranged from $1 million to $20 million construction cost.

Most recently, Mr. Swank has managed a variety of US Embassy facility upgrade and expansion projects, including new Diplomatic Staff housing. In the last ten years, he has been involved with domestic Federal Government projects, including Air Traffic Control Center upgrades and airport expansions. He has also performed as the senior architect for several Mid Rise and High Rise Office Buildings.

Mr. Swank is NCARB certified, LEED accredited, has been a licensed architect in Virginia since 1976, and holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree, 1973, from the Pennsylvania State University.


Scott Knight, LEEDAP

Mr. Knight has experience in various areas of historic Preservation from creating reports, to planning and design documents for restoration and rehabilitation of buildings. After graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design, he gained an understanding of building material conservation and restoration first hand. While working at International Fine Arts Conservation Studios he learned techniques for conservation and restoration of decorative interior finishes. He was involved in conservation and restoration of stucco, terra cotta, brick, and stone while working at Water's Craftsmen. For the last 6 years he has worked with various architectural firms, creating Historic Structures Reports, and creating construction documents on buildings undergoing restoration and rehabilitation.

Scott holds a B.F.A. in Historic Preservation (1995), from Savannah College of Art and Design, and is LEED accredited.

Edgar David

Mr. David has had experience in the Philippines, Middle East as well as the United States. After graduating from a University in the Philippines in 1989 he gained experience as an assistant project engineer, coordinator, draftsman, and estimator. In 1994 Mr. David moved to the United Arab Emirates and worked on several hotel projects, including the Burj AL Arab, world's first 7 star hotel. Mr. David spent 9 years in architectural and interior designing, as well as, space planning, furniture design, and project coordination. For the last year in the United Sates Mr. David has taken on the role of project manager, he has been in charge of monitoring and evaluating on-going projects, preparing weekly progress reports and other coordinating tasks.

Edgar holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, (1989), from the Angeles University Foundation, Angeles City, Philippines.

Priya Sathiyanarayanan, LEEDAP

A recent graduate from Mississippi State University with a Master of Science degree in Architecture and Computer visualization. Priya obtained her Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Madras, India. She worked in Chennai for a year before continuing with her Master's degree. After starting her career at Bell Architects in 2005, she has gained a well-rounded experience in site surveying, preparing construction documents for various projects and coordination. Priya developed her drafting skills in Architectural desktop (primary software), honed her graphic skills while working on different presentations for the firm primarily using Photoshop. She recently completed her training in Revit 9.1.

Priya has her Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Madras, India. She obtained her Master's degree from Mississippi State University (2005) and is LEED accredited.

Karen Domarasky, LEEDAP

A recent graduate of Howard University, Karen attended an international workshop in Lille, France studying urban design with architecture students from various countries. Karen's previous experience has developed into a strong creative understanding of architectural and urban design.

Karen has extensive knowledge in Architectural desktop, Revit 2011, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. She has been an essential part in the design development, construction document, and research phases for various residential, commercial and historic preservation projects.


Karen has her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Howard University(2005) and is LEED accredited.
