 Abdo Development developed Landmark Lofts as part of Senate Square, a complex of three residential buildings with approximately 500 units. BELL Architects completed the plans for the Amenities Center, located at the center of the development. The three-story historic structure was rehabilitated on the exterior while the interior was renovated to accommodate the new use for the building.
Later additions to this building were removed including the elevator tower and the second floor connector bridge. These changes along with others that occurred to the exterior of the building removed or altered the original historic fabric. BELL Architects repaired and recreated these historic details to return the building to its original 1894 appearance.
The renovation of the interior of the building created open spaces with exposed framing and brick walls. This building now serves as the central focus of this complex, providing an attendants desk, meeting rooms and common areas for the tenants. The building opens into the Reception area, an open two story space, featuring views of the second floor balcony. Beyond the balcony is a Club Room with a fireplace and a screening room for 30 people.
