 Abdo Development is developing Landmark Lofts as part of Senate Square a complex of three residential buildings with approximately 500 units. At the center of the complex will be the amenities building. Bell Architects has completed the plans for this building. The three story historic structure is being rehabilitated on the exterior while renovating the interior to accommodate the new use for the building.
Later additions to this building have been removed including the elevator tower and second floor connector bridge. These changes along with others that occurred to the exterior of the building removed or altered historic fabric. This project will repair and recreate these items, so the appearance of the building will be returned to its appearance in 1894 when it was constructed.
The renovation of the interior of the building will create opened spaces with exposed framing and brick walls. This building will serve as the central focus of this complex, providing an attendants desk, meeting and common space for the tenants. You enter the building into the Reception area, an open two story space. From this space you see a second floor balcony, and beyond that between the framing the underside of the roof. Beyond this space are a Club Room with a fireplace and a screening room for 30 people.
